This beautiful apartment is situated on the first floor of a grand and impressive stucco-fronted building close to Hyde Park in London. It wasn’t the location that had me hooked. It wasn’t the elegant proportions (just take a look at those soaring windows!). It wasn’t even the galleried bedroom and the mezzanine library. It was the attention to detail. I could imagine wandering around this apartment all day. Touching this, examining that. Feeling the texture. And marvelling at the many personal mementos and collections. It’s a stylists dream. Most open-plan spaces can be devoured in one bite, but this one has you finding something new at every turn. The use of space is inspired – I love that little dining nook with banquette seating for instance. And I also love those crittall doors between the living space and the kitchen. I think I’ll move in.
