A Flexible Lamp Named Counterpoise

A Flexible Lamp Named Counterpoise

Taking inspiration from Magewappa, a traditional Japanese bent wood craft, the Counterpoise lamp is simple and flexible. The core of the lamp by SAIF lies in its flexibility, and its ability to contort and adjust to be a table lamp or a desk lamp. With a few quick gestures, the lamp can be lowered or raised, or angled to fit the user’s tastes. It uses the principles of cantilever locking to stay in certain positions through gravity. A sleek, matte black round base and shaft are paired with a simple wood/cork lamp with no visible hardware in sight.
