Happy & Co is a new interiors brand that offers affordable and stylish home accessories at an affordable price. The collection includes furniture, cushions, tableware, bedlinen and home accessories and every piece has been designed to stand out, be noticed and be loved. The eye-catching prints (mostly monochrome), would work equally well in a spacious home or a cosy flat, and are perfect for introducing pattern and personality to an otherwise neutral palette. In fact all the products work so beautifully well together in this small capsule collection you may be tempted to buy them all.
Pillowcases, £28.
The Story
But there’s another story behind the Happy & Co brand and even more reason to support them. In 2014, the Happy & Co co-founder Gary Elton established the Happy + Co Farm in the Cambodian province of Siem Reap after looking for ways to create employment opportunities for young people, particularly the children of rice growers whose options were limited.
Cushions, £45.
For the next two years, dams were excavated, roads built and buildings erected. It was a journey of trial and error, highs and lows, until eventually the farm was open for business, selling chemical-free fruit and vegetables to the local people. Today, over 40 people are employed, who plant, harvest and market its increasingly varied produce, in addition to building and equipping greenhouses to allow for year-round harvesting.
Palm Beach Chair, £895
And now 10% of the profit from every product sold from the website is invested back into the farm and the community.
Napkins £20-£25 per pack.
“It’s still early days but we hope that, cushion by cushion, vegetable by vegetable, we can have a positive effect on the lives of people less fortunate than ourselves.” – Happy & Co
