A Dieter Rams-Inspired Recycling Center

A Dieter Rams-Inspired Recycling Center

While working as an Environmental Manager in construction, UK-based Jon Walker easily recognized the importance of recycling, leading him to found dwiss. Working with Design Futures, Walker delved into researching the UK’s recycling market and producing two prototypes for consumer feedback. He then brought on Dutch designer Paul Timmer who crafted a four-stage design development program based on the trial feedback. The result is a simple, sustainable recycling center that blends Dieter Rams’ design principles into a minimalist, lightweight beech ply design.

The product houses four large sections to hold all of your recyclables. Each of the tubs is removable letting you easily carry it out when it gets full. You can also use a bag for one of the upper compartments for your non-recyclables.
