A creative, young family with an artist mom desired an eclectic space that expressed their way of life. The family worked with SVOYA STUDIO on their 100-square-meter (1076-square-foot) apartment located in Dnipro, Ukraine that now consists of a spacious open living room, dining room, and kitchen, along with two bedrooms and two bathrooms.
The design plan incorporated natural materials and various textures with white walls as the backdrop for artist Anna-Maria Shmorgoner’s (the lady of the house) paintings. Rustic wood floors are juxtaposed with minimalist white cabinets and stainless steel appliances in the kitchen.
The rich blue sofa grounds the open living space.
Reclaimed bricks from Yekaterinoslav were installed in a herringbone pattern on the main wall in the living room.
Two closets are hidden behind sliding glass paneled doors in the master bedroom. Behind the headboard is a dressing table that doubles as a workspace.
Both bathrooms are outfitted with ceramic washbasins made by Sergey Gorban.
