It seems to be a month for bedrooms. This is a romantic bedroom scheme that I’ve been putting together for a client. We’ve already worked together on their living room, dining room, downstairs office, hall and stairs. They didn’t exactly ask for a romantic scheme but we were working with existing furniture that was white, curvaceous and definitely French inspired. It seemed to lend itself to something pretty and feminine. They also asked for ‘light and bright’ but in every room we’ve put together, they’ve changed their minds once they saw dark wallpaper or a dark wall colour. So I did two schemes and surprise, surprise they liked the dark wallpaper better. And I’m very happy they went with the Ellie Cashman wallpaper a) because I’ve always wanted to use it, and b) because this room leads off the upstairs landing that has a dramatic black wall. It’s going to look amazing peeking through the door.
