Providence, Rhode Island based Debra Folz just unveiled four new collections at this year’s Architectural Digest Design Show in New York City, building upon her archive of beautifully designed pieces. As with her previous work, each American made design goes a step further with clever details that will make you take a second look, whether it’s tables with glass tops made to look faceted gems, or mirrors that look as if they’re stitched.
Expanding upon the Gem Collection of tables, the Gem Mirrors look like gemstones with their layers of color in varying transparencies giving the illusion of facets. The mirrors come in rectangular, circular, and pear shaped variations.
The Stud Mirror is a full-length mirror featuring differing shades meant to look like light hitting a 3D studded surface. The mirror marks the first product with this new pattern that will launch at ICFF this year.
The Ribbon Console and Ribbon Dresser (below) are a pair of solid ash storage pieces finished with solid bronze hardware that mimics the look of hanging ribbon.
The Rounding Table Collection consists of a circular, drum-like base with 47 solid wood turnings encasing the exterior. The repetitive nature of the turnings becomes a visually enticing detail that creates a softened effect. While the lacquered ash tables have been launched as a side table, larger sizes will be coming out soon.
