Looking to the future, Lucas y Hernández-Gil designed a restaurant and cocktail bar in the city center of Seville, Spain, combining bold, colorful furniture with a concrete-like backdrop. CASAPLATA avoids nostalgia to set itself apart from the surrounding eating establishments making its mark in the historic area.
The Spanish architecture firm referenced the still life paintings of Giorgio Morandi where strong colors pop against a silver gray background. The industrial concrete surroundings set the stage for the colorful furnishings and food for a futuristic and enjoyable experience.
