Furniture retailer West Elm has us shaking with excitement with the announcement of West Elm HOTELS, its new expansion into the travel and hospitality industry. A joint collaboration with hospitality management and development company DDK, West Elm will launch five hotels in five different cities (Detroit, Michigan; Minneapolis, Minnesota; Savannah, Georgia; Charlotte, North Carolina; Indianapolis, Indiana) by late 2018.
As you could probably imagine, the interiors of the West Elm HOTELS will no doubt be spectacular. West Elm, who is no stranger to to local design and collaborations, will feature makers that celebrate the region’s culture by commissioning and curating local artwork for guest rooms and common spaces in each hotel. West Elm is committed to creating a unique experience in each city by focusing on three main tenants: wholehearted hospitality; distinctive, thoughtful design; and community connection.
