A Parisian Pied-à-terre by Piret Johanson Studio

A Parisian Pied-à-terre by Piret Johanson Studio

Piret Johanson Studio recently completed a complete renovation of this Paris Pied-à-terre. The existing 1,300 square foot space was revised to open the floor plan up and to redesign the kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms, and closets. Instead of removing all of the original 19th century features, they were incorporated into the new design, while introducing modern elements throughout.

The designers used pieces of art from the residents’ private collection, like the blue Elias Crepin mobile, adding both color and a whimsical feel into the contemporary interiors.

The dining room features a Glas Italia table that’s paired with vintage Thonet chairs and two black Kartell chairs. The neon art is by Gun Gordillo and the piece on the right is by Alexandre Arrechea.
