We’re all guilty of a bit of virtual website shopping on a Sunday afternoon aren’t we? It’s one of life’s guilty pleasures. A cup of tea, a small(ish) bar of chocolate, a scented candle burning, soft music playing, and an iPad. Bliss. This week I landed on Brissi, which if you haven’t already encountered I’d urge you to rectify that right now! Founded in 2001 by Arianna Brissi and Siobhan McKeating, it is one of my favourite stores for exceptionally tasteful homewares with a tad of French flair. They have real stores (5 of them in fact), but why not browse and buy from the comfort of your armchair.
My Top 6 Picks

It does help that a lot of the fabulous items available are in my favourite colours of black, white, grey and dusky pink. And have you ever seen a prettier vase for showcasing spring blooms? The main feature of the dahlia flower has been created with unique, individual petals and delicately applied on both sides of the vase. Now that’s pretty unusual. And now that I think of it, check out Brissi’s faux flowers which are mighty tempting too.
Now I always think that even if you are buying a piece of furniture for practical reasons, duh like storage, you should make sure it looks good too. Win, win. This travel-inspired rattan cabinet, created in bayur wood and featuring four rattan drawers is a case in point. So much storage, low enough to use the top as a display space and two decorative drawers to boot. Win, win, win.
Luna Round Mirror Gold with Shelf
And while we’re on the subject of practical and beautiful this round mirror with an added shelf is just so stylish. I love that there’s a place to put my lipstick (which I’m forever losing btw) or even a pretty bottle of perfume. And I’m thinking this would look lovely in my downstairs loo.
Robyn Armchair in Rose Pink Velvet
And this dusky pink armchair would look lovely in the corner of my bedroom. Just the right amount of vintage glamour. I love its gorgeous quilting and unique curved shape. Plus what’s not to love about rose pink velvet upholstery?
Voyage Tall Candle Holder and Voyage Low Candle Holder
The candle holders would be pure indulgence. I always love a monochrome tribal style design. The bold print and tones bring the wow factor to your candle display. And from one who loves burning candles, they are a simple way of introducing subtle styling into your home. There’s also a Voyage Vase if you’re interested. Wouldn’t they all look great in my cabinet?
Last but not least, I have a thing for linen napkins. In fact I have quite a collection, but not so many I can’t have more. These look very French with their lacy edge and might just find their way into my not so virtual shopping basket.
