I’ve always been a fan of surface pattern designer Neisha Crosland so it was a foregone conclusion that I would love her new encaustic tile collection called Jigsaw.
Her distinctive patterns have been married with unusual tile shapes that fit together to create stunning floor and wall decorations. The six patterned tiles play with shapes from squares to a diamond, a fan and a hexagonal. They explore optic angles and stars, castellated edges, overlapping lines and dynamic geometrics. And all in a kaleidoscope of colours that we recognise as pure Neisha, such as dusty pinks, jades, primrose and pomegranate.
Neisha says ‘ a good pattern is one that people can connect with. It must have a sense of familiarity but at the same time the design must surprise them with its freshness.’
Jigsaw does just that.
