When interior designer Shanade McAllister-Fisher first saw this new conversion in an old Victorian school in Brixton it was just as the developers had left it. Her brief was to create a sense of home with a masculine identity, that echoed the industrial features and architecture of the building. Her client already had an extensive collection of furniture and personal items that needed to be sympathetically assimilated into the finished design, and she has successfully (I think) created a stunning space with her choice of art, furnishings and accessories. The open plan living space with two bedrooms and a bathroom is now a fabulous bachelor pad with personality and impact.
Shanade’s Favourite Piece?
“The amazing piece of neon artwork in the dining space was such a find. It is over 2 meters tall and incredibly dramatic, a real show stopper!”
