What happens when two designers from different cultures and creative visions merge together? Well, beautiful things happen, specifically the Siro+ chair designed by Raffaella Mangiarotti and Ilkka Suppanen for Finnish brand Woodnotes.
The couple continually work together to share their creative differences (Scandinavian vs Italian styles, polytechnic vs Bauhaus tradition) and only move forward with ideas that excite both of them. One of those ideas is the Siro+ chair, made from a natural or black lacquered oak frame with a wax finish. One of the beautiful details of the chair that is not apparent right away is the sinuous, curved leather armrest that almost looks like it’s made from the same material as the rest of the chair.
