You’re looking at the effort of 18 LEGO maniacs who spent over 2,000 hours assembling 334,544 pieces of our favorite toy pieces into a full-size replica of the 2019 Silverado 1500 LT Trail Boss pickup truck.
Created in partnership with Chevrolet for promotion of the “The LEGO® Movie 2: The Second Part”, the enormous toy brick assembled truck was revealed at the North American International Auto Show by Chevrolet with students from the Oxford Community School’s FIRST LEGO® League and Detroit’s Ralph Waldo Emerson Elementary’s A World in Motion Program (the actual assembly was handled by LEGO Master Builders in the LEGO Group’s Model Shop in Enfield, Connecticut, requiring the aid of computers for the planning and careful coordinated construction, piece by piece).
A real Silverado can weigh upwards of 6,700 pounds, but this toy edition still clocks in at an impressive 3,307 pounds, with physical dimensions of 6 feet high, 20 feet long, and 8 feet wide, with real working lights. Watch the video below to see how it was all made.
