Using a larger display monitor has been attributed to improving productivity. But those larger dimensions do come at the cost of desk space, requiring enough desk space to accommodate monitor footprints. It’s a compromise addressed by Samsung’s latest monitor unveiled ahead of CES 2019. The Samsung Space Monitor’s sleek adjustable display revolves around an integrated clamp-secured arm engineered to allow the 27-inch or 32-inch screen to angle from a fully upright position toward the user with only a slight pull.
The minimalist fully-integrated arm clamps onto the desk while also housing port access and a discreet cable management system for a clutter-free presentation. When adjusted forward and lowered to the desk surface, the display arm is designed to disappear into the back of the monitor’s slim-bezel. The arm clamp is also adjustable and can accommodate for a wide range of surface thickness to secure onto.
The Samsung Space Monitor will be offered in two versions, the smaller 27-inch model outfitted with a 2560×1440 QHD resolution, and a larger 32-inch model capable of displaying a 4K UHD image. No word yet on pricing, but as we head off to Las Vegas into CES 2019 this week, details should emerge from Samsung’s CES booth at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
