Whether you’re a LEGO lover from childhood or an adult that still has an affinity for the colorful plastic blocks, you’re bound to be excited about the brand-new LEGO House, a collaboration between Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG), COWI, and LEGO. The massive, 12,000 m2 masterpiece is located in Billund, Denmark, and was recently completed after three years of construction. In total, the house is made from over 25 million LEGO bricks!
BONUS: Airbnb has partnered with LEGO to offer LEGO lovers a chance to stay overnight in the jaw-dropping LEGO House where you get to sleep in a LEGO bedroom with a massive LEGO waterfall above. The once-in-a-lifetime sleepover would be held on November 24th, 2017, and you’d get the entire house to yourself! Plus they’ll fly you there! Enter here.
Billund aims to become the Capital for Children and they’re well on their way with the playful LEGO structure that’s full of activities that promote creativity and innovation.
Every single thing in the bedroom is made from LEGO brings, even the teddy bear, clock, cat, etc.!
The house is designed as an urban destination to experience everything LEGO has to offer. The complex also features a cafe, restaurant, LEGO store, and conference facilities, as well as play zones for children to learn and create. Above the ground level offerings, the layered colorful boxes are actually galleries with rotating exhibition spaces.
MONSTRUM designed and built a series of nine play structures for kids on top of the building.
