Tray Chic – The Glamorous Side of the Humble Serving Tray

Trays. Handy little items. We all have a stack of them in the kitchen somewhere. Maybe hidden in a cupboard, but most likely stacked up at the back of the counter. Or maybe if you were far-sighted with your kitchen design, stored in the tea-towel cubbyhole. They are invaluable for pulling out in times of need. The lazy TV diner. The drinks on the patio. Breakfast in bed. But I’m not going to write about those practical laminate coated trays here. No sir. I’m going to feast your eyes on the more glamorous side of tray culture. The kind of tray you hover over at the checkout. Is it too frivolous you ask. It’s expensive. Do I really need it you think guiltily.

Well, I’m here to say you do. You can never have too many of these decorative trays either. They are great for corralling stuff on the dressing table. The coffee table. The desk. And anywhere else you find yourself dropping bits and pieces before you decide where you really want to put them. But not just that. They can look fabulous. How many times have you drooled over artfully styled bedside tables on Pinterest and wondered if you could do that?

Buy a tray. You absolutely can.
