Vij5, who’s launching 10 new products in 10 weeks, released another product in that series and this one is from designer Floris Hovers. Fixum is a simple candle holder that adapts to the thickness of your candle. Made from powder-coated steel, a pear wood block, and a butterfly screw, the holder was designed to work with any candle you have lying around, instead of those one-size-fits-all holders that limit what you can use. Utilizing the different materials, Hovers created an assemblage of not only parts, but colors for a distinctive look.
A candle is placed up against the powder-coated metal base and is then held in place by the powder-coated slide, in a contrasting color, which attaches to the wooden block with a solid brass butterfly screw. Fixum is available here in grey-white, green-beige, and pastel-turquoise.
