There’s no doubt that the abundance of flowers around at this time of the year is beneficial to our wellbeing. From the wildflowers growing with abandon in the meadows, to the carefully manicured beds in our gardens, flowers just make us smile. But there’s no reason to live without colourful blooms at other times of the year. I’ve already written before about the faux flowers that will now cheer up our homes whatever the season, but why limit flowers to a few sprigs in a vase? Not when there are so many lovely colouful flower designs available on wallpaper, cushions, bedding and home accessories. Pick a bunch of whatever takes your fancy.

Retro roses on canvas make a stunning statement on a blue painted wall. The old books and peonies in a simple glass jar add to the feeling of nostalgia.
