Noé Duchaufour-Lawrance, a Paris-based designer most known for his interiors and furniture, recently debuted a modern collection of crystal for French manufacturer, Saint-Louis. The 25-piece Folia collection is the result of 30 months of development between the designer and brand and the results are pretty remarkable. Crystal typically leans more towards traditional patterns and silhouettes, but this partnership brings a modern approach to the age-old material.
For inspiration, Duchaufour-Lawrance looked no further than the home of Saint-Louis, Moselle, France, known for their dense forest and foliage that surrounds the city, for his nature-inspired collection. Each piece in the collection dons a contemporary cut pattern that takes after a leaf.
The diverse collection ranges from wooden console furniture with crystal lighting, side tables, three different lamps that incorporate wood, vases, candlesticks, glassware, and barware. The unique furniture pieces mark the first time Saint-Louis has developed anything furniture related since they were established in 1586.
