If you have enough space in a bedroom I would always advise adding a comfy armchair. Not just for tossing your clothes on at the end of the day (although it would be useful for that too), but because it makes the perfect spot for quiet relaxation. Think how nice it would be to escape from the family just occasionally. A cup of tea in hand, that book you’ve been meaning to finish, or that magazine you’ve not had a chance to flick through yet. And the bedroom is the perfect room because it’s so personal and private. And now you’ve got that picture in mind, picture the chair. Bedroom chairs are often without arms and that won’t do. It has to be one that is built for comfort, with arms to lean into, a high back, and deep enough to sink into.
