How many of us wish we could throw everything out and start again with our furniture and decor? For a designer it’s an occupational hazard I can tell you. We’re bombarded every day with beautiful new objects and stunning new schemes. It’s mean’t to tempt you dear reader, but all it does is tempt me! So because I’m constantly choosing new things that I can’t necessarily have (yet), I’ve teamed up with LOVEtSIGN to create this wishlist. In my mind I’m going to start again on the living room with a new sofa and armchair, a new rug, lighting, and a few new accessories. Funnily enough I’ve still been drawn to the colours that I currently have, but in a completely different style.
My Wishlist
My Reasons
I couldn’t resist that sofa. It looks squishy enough to be comfortable but the shape of its frame is very graphic. I do like straight lines. And it’s black upholstery contrasts nicely with the light wood legs and arms. The rug I’ve chosen for its combination of black and white and because the strong lines of the pattern echo the straight lines of the sofa and the coffee table. And what a coffee table. Metal and marble in a lovely deep green. It will sit on that rug without obscuring any of the design. Also, I have to confess that armchair was the first thing I zoomed onto. I love its Scandinavian design and hide cover, but the black ensures it fits very nicely with my own bold colour choices. For the accessories I’ve chosen a combination of black, green, glass, silver and a bold cushion that pulls it all together.
