KBIS, the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show, just recently wrapped up in Orlando, Florida, and one of the standout displays was the Monolith Inception Kitchen, that was presented by Liebherr Appliances. The luxurious kitchen was designed by Richard T. Anuszkiewicz, of Alt Breeding Schwarz Architects, who based the design’s concept off the word ‘monolithic’, which means ‘formed of a single block of stone,’ as a way to pay homage to the Monolith column refrigeration series.
The design carries the ‘monolithic’ idea throughout with expansive surfaces used both vertically and horizontally.
Two Monolith Column refrigerators and two Monolith Column freezers, along with built-in wine fridges and beverage drawers, ensure no one will go hungry or thirsty. This set is housed within a figured fumed eucalyptus fully integrated armoire built by Premier Custom Built Cabinetry.
An aged bronze fully integrated refrigeration armoire with leather door pulls adds another layer of luxury to the space.
The center island forms a solid, geometric mass composed of multi-height layers that result in plenty of counter space and a dining table. The table features banquette seating in lightened paldao wood and embossed leather details.
Inside the custom cabinetry, Richar Living’s signature red interiors pop with the unexpected accent.
