Spring is just around the corner, I keep reminding myself. And with the new season there always comes the desire to clear out the old and start afresh. Not completely. That would be daft. But to maybe dust into the corners, tidy up, and cut down on the clutter. And then maybe treat ourselves to something new. So when I saw the Spring and Summer range just launching at Habitat I got quite excited. It’s fresh, Scandi-cool, and modern, but there are touches of Indian bright and ethnic too. A tempting mix for me. Here are some of my favourite things.

Rattan
They’ve used Indonesian rattan as the base material for a series of designs for bedroom, living and lighting. Moving away from it being perceived as a ‘glasshouse’ material, designer Matthew Long introduces this first handmade rattan bedroom range called Nadia which along with the new Feliz and Avery dining chairs gives a nod back to some of Habitat’s original rattan designs from the 1960’s.
