As its name implies, the new Basalt collection by British lighting brand Tala is inspired by the Giant’s Causeway, a natural and geological wonder in Northern Ireland that’s made up of thousands of interlocking basalt columns. The new range unites solid brass that’s been sand casted and polished with mouth-blown matte borosilicate glass to create two configurations, a ceiling light and a tabletop touch lamp.
The Basalt Ceiling Light consists of a trio of angular brass pendants that can seamlessly join with multiple units to create a custom lighting installation. The Basalt Touch Lamp provides a tactile experience with a three-step touch dimming control integrated into the brass body.
