For their new Spring/Summer catalogue Ferm Living have used real homes to showcase their products. In so doing, they are perfectly demonstrating how a home should be an amalgamation of old and new. A ‘good home’ is a never ending journey. It tells the story of its owner with layer upon layer of possessions and memories. And because it is so personal, new items will seamlessly fit, lifting the tired, but never jarring or out of place. A principle I wholeheartedly agree with. A home should be layered with the history of its family. Never sticking to one era or look, forgiving of furniture that may no longer be trendy, but ready to move forward. Only buy what you love, and it will look effortless too.
