Sonos recently launched the new Sonos One smart speaker with support for multiple voice services, including Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. The voice-controlled smart speaker is capable of playing music, podcasts, audiobooks, and other sonic content from more than 80 streaming services.
Out of the box, Sonos One will fully support voice-activated controls for Amazon Music, iHeartRadio, Pandora, SiriusXM, and TuneIn – with Spotify coming soon after launch. Users will be able to activate basic controls using their voice such as pause, play, skip, volume up and down, and even ask if the song paying is available for the other services Sonos supports.
In addition, owners will be able to enjoy all of the benefits of Alexa – whether it is hearing the weather, setting timers, listening to news and traffic reports, or even the latest sports scores. In addition, Google Assistant will assist with home automation, setting to-do lists, and answering basic questions.
