I can’t believe Westedge Design Fair is already in its 4th year… For the first three years I felt like Westedge was in its infancy—trying to figure out the LA market, what makes sense for attendees, and how to effectively create an exciting show that was a good mix of designers, makers and trade. This year, however, I noticed that it felt more professional, more polished and—most importantly—more diverse. Here are some of the goodies I most enjoyed at the show:
Matt Gagnon’s incredible wood installation canopy in the Roche Bobois/Missoni Home lounge area.
Brenda Houston’s gorgeous gemstone photographic wallpapers, and now—pillows!
I could not help but love this matte black range from Tecnogas.
These edgy sconces by Zia-Priven
Upholstered fabric and leather chairs by BlankBlank
MORE+ Contract is a new company by the same folks from Semihandmade, who has partnerships with various artists and Modernica to create unique pieces for hospitality environments.
New milking stools by CBM Woodworks
Great chair from Housefish
Chargebots by Lewis + Clark Lamps
Beautiful handmade wood furnishings by Andree Areno.
Cool MCM style birdhouses complete with green living walls and roofs from Sourgrassbuilt!
New concrete terrazzo from Concrete Collaborative
David Trubridge – sigh. I want everything.
I loved these pieces by Jenifer Janniere.
Millicent Furniture might be the first modern design company that I’ve seen from New Mexico! All of their pieces are hand-carved, and they even source their own trees…
And last but not least, M. Shively designed an entire playground complete with swings, a sliding board, seesaw and a tire swing to showcase his furniture and lighting, plus show off his custom capabilities!
