BC Architects designed an open 201-square-meter home in Rio de Janeiro that participated in the CASACOR Rio de Janeiro exhibition. The minimalist design, known as Urban Refuge, is surrounded by nature and features a circulation pattern around the perimeter which keeps the interior connected and filled with natural light.
The public area boasts a relaxed feel with the use of warm woods and cozy textures, along with plenty of greenery on both sides. The floor-to-ceiling windows frame tropical views that help the division of interior and exterior disappear.
The compact Ornare kitchen faces a large dining table big enough to seat a large family. Passageways on either side lead to the bedroom at the back.
The light wooden floors flow throughout the entire space adding to the cohesive design.
